What a great success! The students were amazing, funny , composed, and just darn cute! W just had our very first group concert and every student was a leader for a song. Geat turn out of the parents. The grandparents and aunts and uncles were quite proud. Now into summer mode. I have a handful of students taking lessons, and just bought a notebook where I will keep track of their progress. I'm super pumped and can't wait for the next concert !! Oh did I mention there were 20 little ones up there! We might need to find a bigger space. :)
Till next time ! Goodnight
My name is Mayra Kucera Satterfield and I'm in my fifth year of teaching Suzuki violin . After four wonderful years of teaching in Miami Florida I am relocating to Gainesville, Florida. I have the three big "M" that just entered my life. Marriage. Move. Music. I just got married almost a month ago and we are about to make a big move so I have been living out of boxes basically since May. My music goes with my new studio which I am going to start back up when I move up to Gainesville

Oh what a day...
As a violin teacher my work day starts somewhere around 2:00. We are two weeks out from our 3rd annual spring concert and to think three years ago I started with only 3 students, now I have 23!!! To be a violin teacher requires A lot of enthusiasm and patience. So about this time of year I am almost at empty but still these next two wks are crucial. I like everyday that I teach because it's refreshing and the kids teach me something new almost every time. I'm going to use this blog to share funny stories about my students, their progress and my struggles as still a young teacher. I'm not the greatest writer but hope to make you smile. Enjoy!!!
